Temple of Literature, Vietnam

I imagine this is a popular destination not because of how interesting it is, but because of the lack of other sights in Hanoi. Regardless, if you have a free afternoon in Hanoi and you've already seen the other sights that might be of interest to you (the prison, Ho Chi Minh museum and masoleum), give it a shot. Built in 1070, it is the first Confucian Temple in Vietnam and was used to teach back when it was still in use. I didn't see any other Confucian Temples during the rest of my trip, so I'm glad I got to see this one in Hanoi.
