Petronas Towers, Malaysia
One of the top sights in Kuala Lumpur is the famous Petronas Twin Towers, two massively tall skyscrapers in the city, connected by a skybridge. They were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004. After a bit of wandering, I found an expensive bar in a hotel, the Trader's Hotel, that gets a magnificent view of them, though I had to get a $5 coke, which is insanely expensive for Malaysia. Go up to the top floor and you could probably just look, take a photo and leave if you wanted. It didn't seem like they had a rule for keeping people out who didn't order.
